Rt. Honourable Thomas Penn is the son of William Penn (the founder of the State of Pennsylvania, USA). In 1751 he married Juliana, 4th daughter of Thomas Fermor, 1st Earl of Pomfret. 1760 saw Thomas buy the Stoke Park estate with the Manor house, Stoke Poges. At that time he was already the Lord Proprieter of the province of Pennsylvania. He died in 1775.
