Mr Woolhouse married a Miss Digby.
A small hatchment, approximately 2ft x 2ft. The hatchment which is in the Hastings Chapel, was formerly in the Hastings Almshouses. It is the earliest hatchment in St Giles’ church, probably late 17th century.
Heraldry: All black background. Per pale azure and sable a chevron engrailed ermine between three roundels argent (Woolhouse), impaling, Azure a fleur-de-lys argent (Digby) Crest: An eagle’s head erased sable ermined argent beaked gules ducally gorged or Mantling: Gules and argent (ending in tassels).
