Plaque about window of Officers lost life in South Africa from Stoke House school Stoke Poges 1901-1903 StokePoges

In remembrance of seven men who had attended the local Stoke House private preparatory school in Stoke Green, Stoke Poges. All died in the war in South Africa between 1901-1903

  • BENSON – died of dysentry on 19/02/1900 in Wynberg, Cape Town
  • DALYELL – died of enteric on 07/12/1900 in Pretoria
  • GROVE – died of wounds on 12/03/1902 in Buffelsvlei
  • HARDMAN – died of enteric on 30/05/1900 in Pinetown Bridge
  • MACKENZIE – died of enteric on 24/01/1900 in De Aar
  • MURCH – died of wounds on 25/04/1900 in Bloemfontein
  • RASBOTHAM – killed in action on 22/06/1901 in Eden Kop
